About Us
The mission of the Central Area Senior Center is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual resources in a multicultural, intergenerational environment, fostering the well-being of older adults, their families and the greater community.
During the early stages of development, CASC operated from various community bases. In 1975, our permanent location was acquired. Situated atop Leschi Bluff, the Center offers a magnificent view of Lake Washington, the Cascade Mountains, and Mount Rainier.
CASC now serves over 1,000 seniors each year and is a vital part of the lives of many older Seattleites. Younger generations participate in evening programs designed for working adults. Partnerships with local schools and youth organizations ensure that our community is connected to the elders that founded it. Everyone is welcome at the Central Area Senior Center.
